Nuts of the Sivri variety have a non-spherical shape and a rough kernel surface. Kernel yield is about 53%. Fruit parameters, including their mass, length, and height, as well as leaf dimensions and petiole thickness, are variable and depend on growing conditions and altitude above sea level.
The biochemical composition is characterized by an oleic acid content in the range of 77.21–83.86% and linoleic acid of about 13.54%. The variety name may be used to refer to various local Turkish populations or clones of hazelnut.
