The plant is of medium vigor with a semi-erect, widely branched crown. The nuts have a spheroidal shape with a slight point at the apex; fruit size varies from medium to large (13–22 mm). The shell is of medium thickness, nut-colored with visible stripes.
The variety belongs to the mid-season maturity group; the harvesting period falls in August–November. It is distinguished by high and stable productivity, as well as resistance to major pests and diseases. The kernel has a crunchy texture and an intense aroma.
The variety is an ancient product of folk selection from the Lazio region (Italy). In commercial horticulture, it is used as a primary variety for production or as a pollinator for other cultivars.
