The variety is a shrub or tree with a semi-open crown, reaching a height of 200 to 600 cm. The fruits have a round, slightly trilobate shape and a thin but strong shell. The kernel yield is 42–50%. The variety is distinguished by good keeping quality, high winter hardiness of the wood, and resistance to Monilinia.

Harvesting begins in the second half of August. The variety is self-incompatible and therefore requires the presence of pollinator varieties such as Tonda di Giffoni, Cosford, or Tonda Francescana. The crop is sensitive to moisture deficit; severe drought can lead to premature fruit drop and the formation of empty nuts.
