A vigorous shrub with a branched crown of spherical or elongated shape. In spring, the foliage has a rich red-purple or burgundy color, turns partially green in summer, and acquires yellow-red shades in autumn. The height of the adult plant is 3–5 meters.
The fruits are medium-sized or large, weighing 2.3–3.0 g, have an oblong shape and a firm dark brown shell with a reddish tint. The kernel is sweetish and fills the shell well. The variety is characterized by good yield and winter hardiness.
The plant is not self-fertile; for effective fruiting, cross-pollination with other hazelnut varieties is required. It grows optimally in fertile soils with a pH level of 6.0–7.0 and requires protection from strong winds.
