The plant is a vigorously growing multi-stemmed shrub, 3 to 6 meters in height, with a dense crown that can develop an umbrella-like shape with age. The leaves are medium green, rounded or broadly ovate, turning yellow-brown in the autumn.

The fruits are large, elongated-oval in shape with a light brown thin shell, ripening in late August or September. A single cluster typically contains 2 to 4 nuts. The variety is partially self-fertile; planting pollinator varieties is recommended to increase yield.

The plant is characterized by winter hardiness down to -25°C, shade tolerance, and wind resistance. It adapts well to various soil types but prefers nutrient-rich and well-drained sites.
