The shrub is distinguished by upright shoots and reaches 1.5–3 meters in width. The leaves have a bronze hue when unfolding, turn bright yellow in summer, and possess resistance to sunlight. Flowering occurs from May to July with panicle inflorescences, followed by the formation of pink or pinkish-white fluffy infructescences.
The plant is adapted to urban conditions and tolerates heat and drought well after rooting. Winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zone 6a-6b. The shrub is resistant to diseases, although susceptibility to Verticillium wilt is possible. The plant tolerates pruning well and is suitable for single and group plantings, as well as for container cultivation.
