Deciduous shrub 1–3 meters high with a dense, wide-oval crown. Leaves are glaucous-green or bright green, turning yellow, orange, red, and purple in autumn. The plant possesses high winter hardiness, drought tolerance, and resistance to diseases and pests.
Flowering begins from the first year of life in May–June. The main decorative appeal manifests from mid-summer, when sterile pedicels are covered with pink or pinkish-lilac hairs. The variety is suitable for solitary and group plantings, hedges, container gardening, and cut flowers.
