The vigorously growing shrub reaches 4 meters in height. The branches are covered with numerous thorns 5–6 cm long. The variety is self-fertile, moderately demanding of soils, and requires placement in sunny areas.
The fruits are round in shape, bright red in color, and gathered in small clusters. The average weight of one fruit is 3–5 g with a diameter of about 2 cm. The taste of the fruits is sweet-and-sour with slight flouriness. Ripening occurs in the second half of August.
