Variety description

The variety was obtained by analytical selection among seedlings of North American hawthorn species, presumably from the Crataegus submollis or Crataegus anomala group. The plant is a tree or shrub approximately 3–3.5 meters in height.
The crown has a rounded shape. Shoots are geniculate, brown in color, and equipped with numerous thorns 5–6 cm long. Leaves are large, broadly ovate, with shallow lobes, an acute apex, and a serrated margin.
The fruits belong to the large-fruited group and possess good taste qualities. The variety is suitable for solitary and group landscape plantings, as well as for harvesting for fresh consumption and processing.
