The Liudmyl variety is a form of the North American species Crataegus punctata. The plant can be shaped as a tree or a shrub; an important morphological feature is the complete absence of thorns on the shoots, which simplifies maintenance and harvesting.

The fruits of the variety are characterized by their large size. The flowering period of the plant occurs from May to June. The variety is distinguished by good seedling establishment and high winter hardiness, which allows for cultivation in most of the European territory.
