The melon hybrid «Desio» was included in European variety lists in 1998 and 2005. Detailed morphological descriptions of the plant and fruits, as well as information on the maturity group and commercial purpose, are absent in open publications.

In scientific research, this hybrid appears as a line possessing resistance to Fusarium wilt and is used as genetic material in molecular genetic analysis.
