The variety is used in scientific research to study the influence of mycorrhizal fungi on root system development and melon productivity. Experiments with this variety were conducted in the conditions of southeastern Spain.
During disease resistance trials, the variety showed a high degree of resistance to powdery mildew, which made it difficult to use as a control for isolating intermediate resistance.
