Variety description

Melito fruits have an oval shape and medium size. The skin surface is medium-rough, dark green in color with sparse spots. The flesh of the fruits is white, dense in consistency, and has a pronounced aroma.
The variety is demanding regarding temperature conditions and requires regular watering. To accelerate fruit ripening, it is recommended to pinch the main stem above the 5th leaf and side shoots above the 10th leaf. The variety is distinguished by high fruit uniformity but demonstrates low resistance to pathogens.
Melito is an open-pollinated variety used both for commercial cultivation and as genetic material for breeding research in the creation of homozygous lines and F1 hybrids.
