The hybrid Nova (GSV 83-93) belongs to the early-maturing muskmelon varieties. The fruits have an oblong or round shape; the rind is covered with a coarse net and fine grooves. The fruit flesh is orange in color and is characterized by high sugar content.
The plant has resistance to powdery mildew. It is important to distinguish this melon variety from other agricultural crops with a similar trade name, and also not to confuse it with the fungicide Nova.
