The Spotresisting variety was historically intended for cultivation in large greenhouses and was actively used in breeding programs as a parental line for creating hybrids. In the agronomic literature of the first half of the 20th century, the variety was classified as very early or mid-early.

The variety name indicates the resistance to leaf spot claimed by breeders, however, in later phytopathological studies, it was used in tests for susceptibility to fungal pathogens, including Alternaria pluriseptata. The variety is characterized by high seed plant yield in greenhouse conditions.

Detailed morphological characteristics of the plant are absent in available publications. Currently, the variety is considered historical and is of interest primarily in the context of conserving the genetic diversity of cultivated plants.
