The variety belongs to plants where the number of male flowers is approximately equal to the number of female flowers. The fruits are short, thick, light or grayish-green in color, and covered with spines. A characteristic feature is the presence of bitter substances in the cotyledons.

The plant possesses historical resistance to leaf spot virus but is sensitive to spider mite infestation. Due to its genetic stability, the variety has often been used in scientific experiments on growth physiology and resistance to pathogens.
