The hybrid is characterized by high vigor, a powerful root system, and a developed leaf apparatus. It possesses pronounced resistance to Fusarium wilt, including races F. melonis 0, 1, 2 and F. niveum.
When used as a rootstock, Radik F1 ensures good compatibility with watermelon varieties, increasing their resistance to adverse soil conditions and temperature fluctuations. Grafting onto this rootstock contributes to earlier ripening of watermelons by approximately one week.
