The RS 841 hybrid is used exclusively as a rootstock for grafting watermelon, cucumber, and melon. It has a pronounced vegetative growth type and a high degree of compatibility with various scions, which allows for increased yield and fruit weight of grafted plants.
The plant is characterized by strong resistance to Fusarium wilt caused by Fusarium solani, and also helps scions tolerate soil salinity. The rootstock is suitable for use in spring, summer, and autumn growing seasons.
