The first-generation hybrid is obtained by crossing Cucurbita maxima and Cucurbita moschata species. Its primary purpose is to serve as a root base for grafting cucurbits, which increases the viability of the scion and improves its root system and resistance to adverse environmental conditions.

The plant possesses a vigorous root system and growth energy. The hybrid is distinguished by high complex resistance to Fusarium wilt and nematodes, and also adapts well to low temperatures and excessive soil moisture. When used as a rootstock, it has no negative impact on the properties and taste of the fruits of the grafted plant.

In nurseries, the hybrid is valued for the uniformity of seedlings during germination. Professional use is focused on root development and stress tolerance, therefore the taste qualities of the rootstock fruits themselves are not a breeding priority.
