The hybrid serves as a rootstock for vegetable crops such as watermelon and cucumber. Its primary purpose is to improve the characteristics of grafted plants rather than to produce marketable fruit.

In CPVO and UPOV technical protocols, it is mentioned in the context of describing the characteristics of this rootstock that the seed-bearing fruit is large in size. Given the highly specialized purpose of the hybrid, maturity group and flavor qualities of marketable fruit are not described for it.
