The bush-type plant is characterized by compact and vigorous growth without the formation of long vines. The fruits have a spherical shape, smooth tender skin of a light green color with characteristic silvery veins and speckles.
The flesh is white, dense, sweet in taste, and contains few seeds. Due to their shape, the fruits are traditionally used for stuffing, baking, and preparing risotto and frittatas; the plant's flowers are also consumed.
For cultivation, it is recommended to maintain a distance of 80–100 cm between plants in a row and 100–120 cm between rows to ensure aeration. The variety is traditional to Tuscany and is not a specialized hybrid.
