The variety was selected from a population from old Missouri pastures. The plant is characterized by high resistance to the stem rust pathogen, and under conditions of the Pacific Northwest of the USA, it shows resistance to local diseases.
A distinctive feature of the variety is the ability to maintain productivity under shading, thanks to which it is suitable for silvopastoral systems. In pasture trials, the variety demonstrated high animal productivity indicators.
