The variety was developed by crossing regenerants from the varieties «Norwestern» and «Holstenkamp». Plants reach a height of 70–90 cm and are characterized by good tillering and a leafiness of about 53% at the heading stage.
The variety is mid-late: heading begins in late May — early June, seeds ripen in the first half of July. The average dry matter yield is about 10.8 t/ha. It possesses high resistance to lodging and leaf diseases, and regrows intensively in spring and after mowing.
Intended for forage purposes: establishing hayfields and pastures, and producing hay, haylage, and silage.
