The plant belongs to the medium-tall leafy type with a large number of shoots and an intermediate heading period. The variety demonstrates productivity in the spring, summer, and autumn periods.

Sparta possesses high resistance to rust and Mastigosporium. Due to its good leafiness, the variety is characterized by high palatability for livestock, which makes it suitable for forage harvesting, use in grass mixtures, and for grazing.
