The plant is a compact, rounded shrub with dense branching. The leaves are small, pinnately dissected, grayish-green in hue, often with a silky surface. The dimensions of the mature plant can vary from 0.5 to 0.8 m in height and up to 1 m in width.
The flowers are simple, coral-red with a yellow center. The flowering period is prolonged, covering the time interval from May or June to September or October. The variety is drought tolerant after establishment and winter hardy, withstanding temperatures down to -15°C and lower.
The variety is intended for ornamental use in group plantings, flower beds, rock gardens, and as a border plant.
