The plant is a dense, rounded shrub reaching a height and width of 0.5 to 0.9 m. The leaves have a pinnate structure and a glaucous-green, silvery-grey hue.
A distinctive feature is the bicoloured flowers: the primary yellow tone is complemented by orange-red shades from the centre. The intensity of the red colour depends on air temperature: in cool conditions, the colour intensifies, while in heat, it fades. The flowering period continues from late spring until frosts.
The variety possesses high winter hardiness and is suitable for cultivation in USDA zones 2–3. The plant is photophilous and drought-tolerant but requires well-drained soil. To maintain shape and abundant flowering, rejuvenation pruning is recommended once every 3–5 years.
