The Longue Lisse de Meaux variety forms long, cylindrical roots with a blunt tip. The color of the roots is orange or orange-red; the flesh is tender, aromatic, and contains little core.
The plant is late-maturing and intended for autumn harvest. The variety has good keeping quality, which allows it to be used for long-term winter storage. When cultivated, it requires deep, loose, stone-free soil to prevent root deformation.
The period from sowing to harvest is about 3–4 months. The variety is an heirloom and is characterized by high endurance. The purpose is universal: fresh consumption, culinary processing, and winter storage.
