Variety description

The variety Nantese 2, also known under the names Nantaise 2 and Mezza Lunga Nantese 2, is a mid-early carrot with a vegetation period of 110–115 days. The plant forms tops about 35 cm high.

The roots have a cylindrical shape with a blunt tip and a smooth surface of bright orange color. The flesh is sweet, crispy, with a thin core of the same color. The variety adapts to various soils, including humus and loamy soils, however, deformation of the roots is possible in overly dense soils.

The variety is intended for cultivation in open field conditions and in home gardens for supply to the fresh market and long-term storage.
