The variety is a perennial herbaceous plant with a compact habit, reaching approximately 40 cm in height. The inflorescences have a purple-pink color classic for the species.

The plant is used in decorative gardening for landscaping flower beds, borders, and container gardening; it is also suitable for cutting. The variety requires a sunny location and well-drained, humus-rich soil; it is sensitive to waterlogging.
