Variety description

The plant reaches a height of 60–90 cm and possesses a compact habit. The inflorescences are large, with ray florets of a bright purple or ruby-red shade and a dark brown-purple spiny central disc.

A distinctive feature is the sturdy dark purple or dark red stems, which hold the inflorescences above the foliage, and dark green lanceolate leaves. Flowering begins in mid-summer and lasts until early autumn.

The variety possesses disease resistance and good resistance to lodging. It is used in ornamental gardening for solitary and group plantings, mixed borders, and cut flowers, and attracts pollinating insects.
