Variety description

The plant reaches a height of 50 to 100 cm. The inflorescences (capitula) are large, 10–12 cm in diameter, with a pleasant fragrance. The stems are erect, well-branched, characterized by their strength, and do not require staking.

Flowering lasts from mid-summer to early autumn. The variety prefers sunny areas or light partial shade, and requires moderately moist, fertile, and well-drained soils. The plant is winter hardy and drought tolerant.

The variety is used in mixed borders, flower beds, and container gardening; it is suitable for cutting. It attracts pollinators, and the inflorescences left for the winter serve as food for birds. It may be susceptible to leaf spot and aster yellows virus.
