The variety with the trade name Drumsticks Purple and registration designation Noecfive is a compact perennial plant reaching a height of up to 40–60 cm and a width of about 25 cm. A distinctive feature is the rounded inflorescences of a saturated purple shade.

The plant is characterized by winter hardiness (withstands frosts down to –25 ºC), as well as cold and drought tolerance. The flowering period lasts from late spring to the end of summer. The variety is recommended for planting in containers, mass plantings, and decorative landscape design.
