The variety is a medicinal and honey-bearing crop, with all parts of the plant possessing beneficial properties: rhizomes, above-ground mass, and flower heads. The plant has tonic, antimicrobial, antiviral, immunoregulatory, and anti-radiation effects.

The variety is characterized as high-yielding. The yield of above-ground mass reaches 9.28 t/ha, and rhizomes with roots reach 2.31 t/ha. Plants of this variety possess high drought tolerance.

Morphologically, the variety is a perennial herbaceous plant with simple or upper-branched stems. The leaves are rough; the lower ones are ovate on long petioles. The flower heads are large, with a characteristic convex dome-shaped brown central part.
