The variety Rainb299 (commercial name Rainbow Marcella) is a hybrid of Echinacea purpurea and Echinacea paradoxa. It is a compact plant 45–50 cm in height with well-branching, strong, upright stems.
Large bicolored inflorescences have a coral-pink shade when blooming, changing to raspberry-pink with peach-orange tones at the tips. The flowers have a moderate fragrance and attract pollinating insects.
The flowering period lasts from mid-summer to early autumn. The variety is resistant to heat, drought, and poor soils, and is well-suited for cutting and use in dried bouquets.
