Variety description

Clump-forming rhizomatous perennial, reaching a height of 35–50 cm. Evergreen or semi-evergreen form. Young leaves are colored in mottled combinations of green, bronze, and red tones, which turn green with age and acquire a reddish tint in the cold period.
Flowers are large, spider-like in shape, having pale pink outer petals and purple spurs with white tips. They are located on thin branched stems above the foliage. The flowering period falls in the spring months from April to June.
The plant is undemanding, prefers partial shade and moist, well-drained humus soils, poorly tolerates alkaline substrate. Used in shady borders, under trees, and in containers. Protection against slugs is recommended.
