The variety 'Dekostar', also known by the trade name 'Magical Star', is an interspecific hybrid of E. alpinum × E. bourgatii. The plant forms medium-green leaves with medium-length petioles and striking silvery-white spiny inflorescences.
Flowering occurs in July-August. The plant prefers sunny locations with well-drained soils and is characterized as a highly productive variety suitable for cutting.
