The plant has densely branching stems covered with sharp gray thorns. In pot cultivation, the height is from 15 to 50 cm. The leaves are light green, elliptical or lanceolate in shape, concentrated at the tips of the shoots.
The variety is characterized by red bracts about 1.2 cm in size. The plant adapts well to warm conditions and requires a well-drained substrate, as it is sensitive to waterlogging and the risk of root rot development.
The variety is used for landscaping interiors, patios, and terraces as a container crop. The plant's milky sap is toxic and can cause irritation to skin and mucous membranes upon contact.
