The variety Pepride is a sport of a red-bracted variety named 490. The plant possesses a compact habit, dark green leaves, and dark red serrated bracts.

This cultivar is intended for cultivation in small-sized pots and hanging baskets. The variety exhibits high resistance to leaf curling after transport in closed containers and demonstrates excellent foliage retention after sale.

In terms of growing requirements and flowering time, Pepride is identical to the parent variety 490. Studies show that this variety attracts fewer whiteflies of the species Bemisia argentifolii compared to a number of other commercial varieties.
