The variety is late-maturing and intended for pot cultivation. The plant is a tetraploid form, which leads to its frequent use in genetics and breeding research as a standard for comparison with diploid forms.

Studies have revealed that this variety is prone to a physiological disorder manifesting as bract edge burn due to calcium deficiency. The application of silicon fertilizers helps reduce the severity of this symptom.

The variety served as a genetic base for breeding other varieties, including mutant forms. In publications, Supjibi is classified as a Euphorbia pulcherrima cultivar, and attempts to categorize it as an interspecific hybrid with Euphorbia cornastra are not supported in the literature.
