The Eevert variety belongs to the crop meadow fescue (Festuca pratensis Huds.). This variety is used as a component in sown grass mixtures, often in combination with other species of forage grasses, such as perennial ryegrass or cocksfoot, for the purposes of intensive grassland farming.
