The Barustic variety of red fescue is a perennial low-growing grass with underground rhizomes. The plant possesses a fine texture of narrow leaves of a medium-dark green color. The variety is classified as creeping red fescue (Festuca rubra rubra).
The plant has high resistance to red thread, winter cold, and prolonged drought. The variety tolerates shade and irregular mowing well, but is sensitive to waterlogging due to excessive watering.
The variety is intended for landscaping and creating universal lawns in sunny areas or under conditions of partial shade. It is used both in pure form and as part of lawn grass mixtures.
