The Raisa variety belongs to the Festuca rubra ssp. commutata subspecies and is classified as a turf grass. It has the ability to form dense sod, adapts well to shaded conditions, and is resistant to low mowing.

Within the framework of turf grass trials, the variety is evaluated according to indices of visual quality, stand density, and resistance to diseases, including red thread. The variety is also mentioned in the context of use in grass mixtures with an allelopathic effect for suppressing weed growth.
