The plant belongs to diploid varieties and is characterized by low growth with an erect or semi-erect habit. The leaves are narrow, green or dark green in color, without a waxy bloom. The rhizome is weakly expressed or absent; the variety forms a dense stand.
The variety is adapted to soils with a low pH level from 4,5 to 8 and is capable of growing in low-fertility areas. The plant emerges early from winter dormancy, is resistant to red thread infection, and inhibits the encroachment of annual bluegrass (Poa annua). It allows for mowing to a height of 1–1,5 cm and is suitable for conditions of limited maintenance.
