The variety belongs to the Chewing's fescue subspecies and is a diploid plant. Due to the presence of creeping shoots, the variety is capable of self-repairing sward damage and creating dense cover. The leaf blade is characterized as thin, soft, emerald-green in color with relatively long leaves.
The plant possesses high resistance to major turf diseases, including red thread and Fusarium, and also demonstrates adaptability to difficult climatic conditions, such as drought and low temperatures. Development in the year of sowing is slow, full ornamental quality is achieved in the second year of life, and the variety tolerates low mowing well.
Jasperina is used as a component for creating high-quality lawn mixtures intended for park areas, sports grounds, golf courses, and landscaping of private plots.
