The variety belongs to the Chewings fescue subspecies, which has short rhizomes. It forms a dense stand with narrow leaves of a deep green color with a slight yellowish tint.

The plant possesses high tolerance to frequent and low mowing, good shade tolerance, as well as drought and cold tolerance, and moderate salt tolerance. Due to the presence of rhizomes, the variety is capable of partial recovery of thinned-out areas.
