The variety Zulu, previously known as Valaška, is characterized by a perennial tufted growth habit. The plant is distinguished by very early spring growth, allowing grazing use to begin approximately 14 days earlier than other varieties. Regrowth density after mowing is rated as medium to low, especially during the summer period.
The variety possesses good general persistence and moderate resistance to diseases. Due to early regrowth, it is suitable for cultivation in drier conditions. It is used for establishing pastures and is also included in grass mixtures for protective purposes, landscape restoration, and greening.
