The variety is a groundcover or hanging plant with pubescent stems, reaching a height of 5–15 cm. The leaves are oval or elliptical in shape, 4–5 cm long and 2–3 cm wide.

The plant is thermophilic and moisture-loving; optimal maintenance temperatures are no lower than 10–18°C. Due to its compact size, the variety is often used in terrariums, florariums, and bottle gardens.
