The plant features a bright contrasting pattern: a distinct white mesh is located on the light green leaf blade, for which the variety was named "mosaic". The bush reaches a height of 10–15 cm and a width of 15–20 cm.

The crop is ornamental-foliage and requires high air humidity, protection from direct sunlight and drafts. With waterlogging of the soil, the plant is susceptible to root rot, and can also be affected by pests such as spider mites and mealybugs.
