The plant is a low-growing perennial with a height of about 10–15 cm. It is characterized by a distinct vein pattern on the leaves, which is a typical trait of the Fittonia albivenis species.

The variety is demanding of high air humidity and consistent watering. When the soil dries out, the leaves quickly lose turgor, but the plant is capable of recovering with timely watering.
