Variety description

10 August 2026

The Snow Anne variety is a tropical herbaceous perennial from the Acanthaceae family. The plant is characterized by its compactness, reaching a height of 5–6 to 15 cm. A distinctive feature is the contrasting pattern of the veins, which can make young leaves appear almost white.

The plant is thermophilic and hygrophilous, requires high air humidity, and is sensitive to drying out of the root ball. It is used as a houseplant or as a ground cover for terrariums and florariums. Biochemically, the variety is characterized by the presence of a specific mutation in the anthocyanidin synthase gene and the accumulation of flavones in the leaves.
